Dr.
Lipton serves as Co-Principal Investigator on the NCETE CSLA site
and coordinator for development of the engineering teaching/learning
components. His program area is technology education. He also has
significant experience related to engineering education as a result
of his eight years as the Associate Dean of the College of Engineering,
Computer Science, and Technology. As the director of the of the Center
for Technology Education between 1994 and 2002, he was responsible
for providing leadership and coordination of more than $1.5 million
of funded projects related to industrial and technology education
program development, training, consulting and services to local educational
agencies and industry. Recognized nationally, as one of California’s
leaders in technology education, Dr. Lipton is very active professionally
and is currently serving as President-Elect of the International Technology
Education Association.
